Here is the plan for the Big Row, 2016:

When: June 21, 2016 through June 24, 2016

Where: Starting at Rogers Island, New York on the Hudson River, ending at the Mabee Farm, Rotterdam Junction, New York on the Mohawk River.

Distance: 65 miles or so.

Daily schedule:

Monday, June 20: We will camp on Rogers Island at the Visitors’ Center.

Tuesday, June 21: Starting at Rogers Island, we’ll launch the bateau and row south through the Champlain Canal and camp at the Stillwater Hudson Riverfront Park (the park near Saratoga Battlefield, not the park with the blockhouse).  Distance is 20 miles with two locks.

Wednesday, June 22: Row from Stillwater to Waterford. Camp at the Waterford Vistors’ Center.  Distance is around 17.5 miles with four locks.

Thursday, June 23: Row from Waterford to Erie Canal Lock 7.  Distance is around 12.5 miles with five or six locks.

Friday, June 24: Row from Lock 7 to the Mabee Farm in Rotterdam Junction, New York.  Distance is around 15 miles with two or one lock (depending on if we lock through Lock 7 the previous day).

Saturday, June 25 – Sunday, June 26: The Living History reenactment at the Mabee Farm.
