Here is the plan for the Big Row, 2022:

When: July 12, 2022 through July 15, 2022

Where: Starting at Syracuse, New York on Onondaga Lake, ending at Sylvan Beach on Oneida Lake.

Distance: 49 miles or so.

Daily schedule:

Monday, July 11: We will camp at Oneida Shores Campground at the western end of Oneida Lake. We have a site reserved.

Tuesday, July 12: Starting at the Ken Lynch Boat Launch at the southwestern end of Onondaga, we’ll row north to the Seneca River, then down the Seneca to Three Rivers Junction, and down the Oswego River to the town of Phoenix, where we will camp at the town park at Lock 1. Distance is 13.8 miles.

Wednesday, July 13: Row to Oneida Shores Campground at the western end of Oneida Lake. We’ll row back up the Oswego to Three Rivers Junction, then up the Oneida River to Oneida Lake. Distance is 14.1 miles.

Thursday, July 14: Row to Dutchman Island, about halfway along the south side of Oneida Lake. There aren’t any facilities on Dutchman’s Island, but there is a boat launch with some facilities about 0.6 miles away. Distance is 10.3 miles.

Friday, July 15: Row to Sylvan Beach. Distance is 11.1 miles.

Saturday, July 16 – Sunday, July 17: participate as we see fit with the festival at Sylvan Beach.
